Learn to Dance in the Library
Hosted by: Whitney Rowlett
Seelie and Unseelie: Dance in the Courts of the Fairy Queens: The ballroom of Faerie can be a treacherous place. With a little instruction, you can blend in with the courts of both Summer and Winter. Wings welcome, no experience necessary, and bring your love of the elegant and slightly dangerous.
Ten Thousand Pounds a Year: Regency Dance: Has Bridgerton left you a little hot around the collar for Regency ballrooms (and libraries)? Dancers of all experience levels are invited to learn some of the beautiful dances of the Regency. No experience necessary, all steps and dances will be taught, along with some insight into the ballrooms of the period.

Book Bedazzling & Crafting in the Board, Ante & Fireside Rooms
Bring your favorite hardcover (or grab one at the show) and transform it into the glittering romantasy relic it was always meant to be. Rhinestones, charms, ribbons, stickers, sparkle! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or simply here for the vibes, the Romancing Portland Craft Room is your space to slow down, create, and romanticize your weekend! Decorate bookmarks worthy of your next five-star read while you mingle with fellow readers who understand exactly why your TBR is out of control. Let’s get crafty!

Smut or Angst: Let’s Get Lit!
Hosted by: Smut or Angst
Previously seen at local conventions like Rose City Comic Con and Emerald City Comic Con, Smut or Angst is a panel and a podcast about fanfiction! Smut or Angst is a game show where we give you the title of a fanfiction and you have to guess if it is Smut (sexy stuff) or Angst (sad stuff). For this event we will be drawing on fanfictions based on books! Join your host, Leandra, and a panel of nerds in this hilarious guessing game and be sure to check out the Smut or Angst podcast wherever you get your podcasts!

Writing Fights and Realistic Violence
Hosted by: Megan Carver
Learn how to write fights right! This panel is perfect for authors and editors of all experience and skill levels. A blast for readers too! Our approach to violent storytelling focuses on the mindset of not only how to write fights with accuracy, but how to write with emotional impact. Writing Fights and Realistic Violence is a particularly unique panel, because it will feature a professional editor, a fight director, and also combat actors, who will act out real fight scenes from books. Learn the basics of writing fights, how to level-up your violent storytelling, and how to create fight choreography that reveals character. Presented by Thorns N’ Roses in collaboration with New York Combat Stage and Screen.
