Whitney Rowlett has made teaching and performing historical dance—from the Renaissance through Regency—her passion for more than thirty years. She specializes in teaching large groups of people with a wide variety of dance experience. She created the dance troupe Moonlight Dance Theatre to fuse historical dance, fantastical elements, and modern teaching techniques in a warm, inclusive environment. Throughout her career, Whitney has developed dance programs at living history sites, Renaissance festivals, conventions, and for stage productions and nonprofit events around the world.

In her spare time, Whitney continues her work as a visual effects producer for feature films, television, corporate clients, and virtual reality experiences on behalf of major corporations, including Sony, Netflix, Apple+, Camouflaj, Meta, Marvel, SyFy, Verizon, The Travel Channel, Comedy Central, NBC Universal, CBS, and Riot Games. She was a member of the Academy Award-winning art team on “The Amazing Race” and was a team member on “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries” and “Emma Approved,” both recipients of an Emmy for Original Interactive Programming.

When not otherwise engaged, Whitney is working toward a master’s degree in folklore and flying airplanes.
