What’s your most chaotic reading habit?

Committing to way too many books by buying them and starting them all at the same time. Why do I think I can read a physical book, a book on my phone, listen to an audio book, all while managing a teen and a preteen, friendships, a marriage, and oh yeah – planning for Romancing Portland!

I’m a mood reader, so I like to read multiple books in multiple genres at once. (Not more than 3, though. I’m not an animal) Usually, I combine a contemporary novel, something sci-fi fantasy, and something romance. Occasionally, I get in the mood to read (or re-read) classics, too.

Since I almost exclusively read before bed, I am always either reading until I pass out with my e-reader in my face or I am awake until 5am, reading until I finish the book

I like to read three things at a time. A book, a fanfic (or two). Keeps my ADHD brain in line.

Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, I go all in on holiday-themed dark romance novellas. I’ve done it for years straight, and honestly, it’s impressive how endless the supply is.
