Alex Jacobs
Alex started dancing in high school during the Neo Swing Revival in the early 2,000s and never stopped. In college, he joined his school’s ballroom dance class, then began teaching for several top studios in the Philadelphia area before moving to Virginia, where he currently lives and teaches.
Alex has been a member of several university dance teams and has been a top-placed competitor in multiple disciplines. He has competed in professional theater arts performance and pro-pro country western, where he currently competes in couples. As a teacher, Alex has multiple top teacher awards and is a Master certified teacher in twenty dance styles, with an Associate certification in an additional five. Recently, he was celebrated as Dance Vision’s first recognized trainer for preparing other instructors for their first professional examinations.
When not teaching, Alex is an avid tabletop gamer. He and his wife live in northern Virginia, where they are supervised by a large orange cat with no concept of personal space named Chu Chu.
