Binky and Crumb
Artist Colete is an illustrator, painter, and educator with a love for traditional illustration techniques and her cats. She received a BFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in 2020 and has been working as an artist since.
Her illustrations come to life in the margins of her sketchbook, inspired by the ugly little creatures lurking in medieval manuscripts. She is deeply interested in traditional materials and mixing media. Mistakes and idiosyncrasies are the heartbeat of her work.
In her free time, she enjoys running, sitting by the wood stove, and playing her stand-up bass.
Merch is made with sustainability and community in mind. Stationery is printed in small batches by a small business local to my neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. Shirts and totes are hand-screen-printed locally by Grilka Press. Shop now at binkyandcrumb.com.
